To make the transition as painless as possible, both financially and operationally, a data transfer routine was written to automatically transfer all employee related data from the old system into the new one, which also replicated all data screen changes made in the previous system to People Inc. This significantly reduced the amount of consultancy time needed to complete the project and meant that the entire transition was quick, easy and therefore inexpensive. The additional ‘big wins’ for the Company will be in introducing this new technology platform to the business to assist in two labour intensive subject areas that their old system wasn’t wholly capable of, unless they adopted additional and expensive bolt-on modules; the built-in ‘Recruitment & Resourcing’ and ‘Training Administration’ modules are now being rolled out within the business to help to further reduce administration and HR Support costs.
