HR system 'health check'

Lindsays has one of the fastest growing legal teams in Scotland; as such they recognised a need for their HR system, that caters for specific employee record keeping, to be properly evaluated and fully supported ongoing.

Nick Pye, MD of activHR Consulting, commented, “our starting point was an assessment of the overall technology requirement that must be inextricably linked to the corporate strategy, and how the people activities are to underpin the growing and future success of the firm. Looking ahead, we'll continue to support the existing system for the foreseeable future, and we’re anticipating a rapid take-on of a more up to date technology platform, making the delivery of the many HR led initiatives more fluid and integrated throughout the business.

This will mean that routine administration is significantly reduced and with the uptake and roll-out of self-service functions, coupled with configurable workflow design capabilities, we will empower both HR and people managers, enabling them to become more proactive in the development and delivery of key HR and operational strategies.“

Pye continued, “We’re delighted that Lindsays came to us recently asking us to conduct a system ‘health check’ on their existing HR system. Since the audit has been carried out, a full response has been submitted, commenting on how well the system has been configured and is currently being utilised, alongside further recommendations where further efficiency gains might be made, and a clear roadmap on systems development needed to support the strategic aims and ambitions of the HR department.”
