FTV Proclad (UK) Ltd, one of the country’s foremost centres of excellence in heavy precision engineering, has adopted People Inc as their replacement HR software.

FTV’s indepth knowledge base and experience, puts it at the cutting edge. A computer aided manufacturing system and computerised production control facility is used to maximize the capability and productivity of the machines. Special software packages are used to provide full support for the machining process. Tight control procedures are implemented from planning to delivery to ensure the highly quality of service.

A lack of overall HR system functionality and the threat of incompatibility issues arising form adopting new and emerging Microsoft networking technologies were the catalysts for choosing the People Inc HR management information system from P&A Group.

For some time the incumbent ageing HR application has lacked the necessary functional capability to support the business moving forward. The standard People Inc application offers far greater system functionality, in areas such as performance management, recruitment and training administration. The in-built system design tools will also allow FTV to create further capability by designing new database tables, screens and workflow processes.  As they seek to use People Inc as a development environment, they will be able to accommodate further automated processes which involve people throughout the organisation.

The project implementation will also deliver integration with Sage Payroll to be able share common employee data resident in both systems.

Additionally, further modular components are being considered by FTV to provide employee and manager self-service capability and a fully integrated time & attendance system.
